Over the years Diane and I have always promoted conservation and enjoyed the backyard birding hobby. It only seemed natural to form a company that would be personally rewarding to us, and beneficial to others who share our enthusiasm for birding and nature. We will continue to promote conservation through birding with The Front Range Birding Company. It is our privilege to be able to serve you, our customer; with birding and nature products that offer exceptional value and function.

In October of 2003 we opened our doors after months of planning and build-out. Folks were anxious for us to open, peering in the store windows as my son John and I labored on the displays and Diane stocked the shelves. Since that humble beginning we have developed a loyal following of devoted customers who trust our nature advice, friendly personal service, and great prices. We are blessed to have found devoted knowledgeable employees who share our enthusiasm and love of the natural world.

We know our products, use and test them, and stand behind them. We look for win-win relationships with our customers, employees, manufacturers, and suppliers. Our belief is that thru these positive relationships a strong foundation is established for continued growth and success.

We love nature and support many conservation programs. As the owner/operators of The Front Range Birding Company, we honor that tradition by supporting worthy local and national organizations. These include, among others, The National Audubon Society, The Audubon Society of Greater Denver, The Nature Conservancy, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Additionally, being an active and supportive member of the local community is a cornerstone of the store’s philosophy. Our “Dove Race for Youth” charity drive and open house each spring helps to support several local charities and promotes many local artists and craftsmen.

The Front Range Birding Company is committed to providing you with the best service and products available. We strive to support American suppliers and manufacturers who can give you the best value for your money. Through that aim we stock unique items made in America to the maximum extent possible.

In October of 2007 we established our online store to compliment its brick and mortar counterpart. With that capability we can now offer the world the same service and reliability on products we use and handle every day in our store, backyard, and on the Colorado Front Range.

We are conveniently located in the Southwest Denver metro area. Look for us in the Jefferson Village/Kohl's Shopping Center at the northeast corner of C-470 and Kipling Parkway. We are certainly easy to find if you are in the neighborhood. Nearby, the Audubon Society of Greater Denver at Chatfield, the Denver Botanical Gardens at Chatfield State Park, and beautiful Red Rocks Park offer great birding and nature adventures.
