Tuesday, April 16th brings Kimberly Beck, founder of Relational Rewilding Nature Guiding, to FRBC-Boulder to present "Bird Language Basics: Exploring Secrets of the Natural World." Kimberly's expertise is in getting us to open up our senses to become more aware of what is going on around us in the natural world. Her business is founded on the principle that regular participation in nature-based activities improves cognitive functioning, mood and attitudes, emotional resilience, creativity, self awareness, environmental health, personal health, and all of our relations.

If you like to spend time watching and identifying birds, at some point you have probably wondered what they are actually saying. This spring evening presentation is not about identification through vocalizations, but instead provides an introduction to a common language birds use to speak to each other about the landscape, predators, and even YOU. This ancient survival skill is about 'what' is being communicated - not 'who' is communicating.
By learning some bird language basics, energizing our senses, and quieting our minds we can better understand the tweets, chirps, tuts and whistles of our feathered friends.
